👋🏻 Hello

I am Panyanus Jansomwong

or you can call me Pearwa or Pear

Originally from Bangkok, recently based in New York City, and currently working from Thailand — I design across places, platforms, and practices.

I build things that move—mechanically, digitally, or socially. From kinetic displays and gesture-based interfaces to speculative archives and web-based visualizations, my work explores how code, craft, and collective memory intersect.

I'm interested in how people interact with space, information, and each other — especially in contexts that blend the physical and digital.

I hold an MFA in Design Engineering, a joint degree between Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University, and an MS in Computational Design Practices from Columbia GSAPP.

My background spans architecture, interior design, and computational systems — from crafting spatial experiences and kinetic installations to developing interactive tools and digital platforms. I design across scales and mediums, always with an interest in how people move, make, and connect.
